Biography

The Leporello invites visitors on a journey through the life of Eileen Gray. As a life-size, standalone work, it conveys Gray’s design language whilst evoking her foldable and rotating creations.

On the opposite wall, the orange wall lamp, designed for the bathroom of E.1027, casts a different light on Gray’s life and work. Together with the Leporello, this arrangement is framed by two screens.

Here, biography, form, and perception intertwine, guiding the eye purposefully through the room.

A direct comparison of two Brick Screens – between a student’s replica and the ClassiCon production – highlights the exceptional quality of these designs. The screen captures movement, directs the light and structures the space.
