City X – Me, Kaiserslautern

In the interactive project ‘City X – Me, Kaiserslautern’, people of all ages and from different parts of the city were invited to draw and describe their personal view of Kaiserslautern. From these individual contributions, artist Doris Graf developed concise pictograms that condense key statements about the city’s self-image and perception.

Graf has already carried out her art project ‘City X’ in cities such as Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Istanbul, Chicago, Stuttgart and, most recently, Pristina. As part of the exhibition ‘Betze, K-Town, Pfaff’ (Sep. 2024 – Jan. 2025), the mpk was able to engage the renowned artist to implement the project in Kaiserslautern for the first time.
